ABOUT US

Our Mission

The primary mission of Carolina New Song Ministries is to reach out to those who struggle or who are adversely impacted by issues of gender confusion, same-sex attractions, and sexual addictions. Our goal is to provide help in achieving an optimum level of healing and change.

All of our programs of support and education are offered within the context of the Christian faith.  It is our firm belief that change and healing is possible through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and the power of the Holy Spirit.  Fundamental to this belief is the overwhelming evidence, contrary to popular belief, that issues such as same-sex attractions are the result of developmental factors that are subject to change.

Support Group for Same Sex Attractions

One of the primary aspects of our ministry is a support group for those who struggle with same-sex attractions.  This group meets bi-weekly and features a time of fellowship around the dinner table, followed by times for worship, study, sharing, and prayer.

Support Group for Parents and Friends

We also provide support for parents and other family members who have a loved one who struggles with same sex attractions. When a parent contacts us for the first time, we hold a meeting with other parents. The primary goal of this group of parents is to support one another through sharing and prayer, and to seek a way to maintain a balance between love and truth. This is done within a context of confidentiality and understanding.

SA Group

New Song also sponsors a SA (Sexaholics Anonymous) that meets weekly.  This group offers help and encouragement for those who struggle with a variety of addictive sexual behaviors.  This includes some for whom same-sex behaviors have become addictive but also includes those who struggle with pornography and heterosexual promiscuity.

Information and Referrals

There is a growing body of materials and research dealing with issues related to our ministry. We would be happy to provide help in identifying and locating these resources. The staff of Carolina New Song does not include professionally-trained counselors, but we would be happy to provide referrals to Christian counselors who have understanding and experience assisting those facing these issues.
